As you will hear me lament in coming blogs, Ella turned 5 yesterday, Sept. 1. I am beside my self (more to come). Erik's sister Cheri and her family sent Ella a magical birthday surprise. A huge, and I mean huge, box arrived at our doorstep. When I went to pick it up it weighed nothing. I almost fell backwards because I had prepared myself for such a heavy load! When Ella opened it we were quite surprised. Inside was 3 balloons, a book and a lovely feather boa! Thanks Orozco family for the first, and probably last, balloon we have ever received by mail. (postage was a little high for air!) Here are pics:
